The Art of Leticia Lacy

Born in Los Angeles CA, Leticia Lacy is an emerging artist who creates intricate and whimsical works using paint, paper and found objects. After receiving her BFA at UCSB, she landed her first job as an animation assistant on the South Park feature film. Applying her sophisticated and dynamic color sense, she has been a color stylist on Cartoon Network's 'Samurai Jack', 'Star Wars: Clone Wars' and Nickelodeon's 'My Life as a Teenage Robot.' She has painted backgrounds for Cartoon Network's 'Power Puff Girls,' Disney's 'Kick Buttowski,' and Sd Entertainment's 'Carebears.' In 2008, she was a background supervisor on 'Ni Hao Kai Lan.' Currently, she is art directing a pilot for Nick Jr. In addition to her work in animation, she has shown personal work in such art galleries as Gallery Nucleus and M Modern in Palm Springs. When she is not making art, she enjoys spending time with her husband Alex Kirwan, her sweet baby Nightingale and her boston terrier, Balamar.
